Extreme Customer Service

by Sandra Gauvin

Have you noticed lately that all of a sudden customer service has improved dramatically with most companies?   Yesterday I had called my local cable company to discuss an issue I was having with my phone service.  At least 3 times throughout the less than 10 minute conversation, the customer service representative told me how appreciative they were to have me as a customer and kept asking me if there was anything else they could do for me.

When economic times are good it’s so easy to disregard your customers because your doing well regardless.  Even if you produce quality products and services but your customer service is barely there or nonexistent, then a customer will feel abandoned once you have their money.  This feeling of abandonment will give your customer the opportunity to rethink their ongoing business relationship with you and will give your competitors the opportunity to replace you.  Build a positive, long-lasting relationship with your customers, along with quality products and services and you’ll have a loyal customer that won’t be enticed by lower priced competitors.
